Regardless of your feelings on the events of 2020, the one thing that most of us can agree on is that if you're feeling sick, the best thing for you is rest at home. Maybe you still think you should feed a cold and starve a fever or you've moved up to the idea of just getting enough fluids and simple food. The two important things to remember are:
1. Take care of yourself so your immune system can do it's job and
2. Keep those germs at home.
I personally have had patients come into the clinic saying “I’m really congested and just got a sore throat today, but I’m sure I’m not contagious.“ But the thing is that I treat many people with compromised immune systems (chemotherapy, pregnant, autoimmune conditions) as well as other people who also work with higher risk groups (teachers, nurses, care aids) is I can't be exposing people here, or leaving here to unnecessary risk.
There's no financial penalty for calling in sick and I'd rather see you when you're able to breathe. And sometimes coughs and symptoms can linger for months so if you're on the road to recovery and want some help to get rid of that then we can help with that.
Thanks for your understanding.
